Dear Teemu,

thank you for your thoughts.

About being a part of the Industry... I do have Overlord intensions and when wanting to make a difference writing analytical stuff is one way. I fully intend to write my "What's Wrong With the Civilizations" but the proper argument in a discussion like that is... you guessed it, another game! You can easily diss some Bitch McWhiney, but when you get an actual game infront of you that shows there are Better Things you can't really argue with it.

And of course being part of the Industry is one way of making ones living, which is one BIG issue in my life at the moment.

Apropos, we really should meet more often. Of course, as a single, I'll swallow any excuse you might have concerning familylife responsibilities...

Hi there,

this is just a wild suggestion with no detailed thinking to support it, but how about NOT trying to be part of the Game industry? Rather, to be an outsider, an analytic observer of what's going on on the inside. And then, here comes the beef (medium, not well done please), writing witty columns about games, life and everything. Not game reviews - they are boring and everywhere anyway (see Valo, Nyt-liite etc.), but something about your personal gaming experiences and how they connect to issues in real life, in our society (that is, pretty much what you used to do sometimes in Kimmo's Blog 1.0). If your Finnish is as sparkling as your English, such articles ("Mitä pelasin tänään?") could hold a great potential for success and world domination.

But this is not to dissmiss your other ambitions re games, so I wish you all the best with the Project.

I thank you, Sir, for your continued optimism. *bows deeply*

A few clarifications are, however, in order.

Firstly, this comment might make it look like I had a choice concerning this project. I don't. It is out of necessity I engage in it. If I wish to be, in some way, a part of the Game industry, I have to do This. And I have a hunting feeling that This isn't enough. And frankly I don't know what would be enough. It seems the bar is constantly raising.

Secondly, this project isn't directed to any spesific job. I've done game design related work examples before, but I'm still here...

Sounds like a plan. You seem to be really into this project. I hope you get the job, with your enthusiasm they wouldn't regret hiring you. =)
