To respond to your second comment: 1. What people? I have no evidence that this blog is read by nothing but a bunch of bots and the occasional wanderer. 2. So what? Why should I care that there are some people that understand something I've written unintendedly? In the realm of human communication everything gets misunderstood, even this sentence. 3. You seem to be labouring under the impression that my post ISN'T objective nor authoritative. But it is both. a.) It is objective in the sense that what I wrote is common to all humans. You can go and check all the websites mentioned and notice e.g. that Slashdot has the best discussions. b.) It is authoritative in the sense that I know what I'm writing about. I've been a user of all of the websites mentioned and for a longer time as well. I didn't go and check them out just for the purposes of this post.
