Dear Sir,

I think it's best to make a clear distinction between comic-book adaptations and movies with characters (and such) adapted from specific comic.

I think most movies based on serial arts is of the last type e.g. Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. Having not seen Transformers I can't say anything for it. I enjoyed Batman Begins. Sin City was one of the most faithful adaptations of a comic-book(s) I have seen.

I can't say I'm the foremost consumer of the super hero genre. I think all you need to read are The Dark Knight Returns and Watchmen.

To answer your question, out of the set of those films that have been somewhat comics related, I've enjoyed them at least somewhat. The Dark Knight makes a distinct exception.
