Why would you want to go back in time and kill Hitler? 1. To punish him or as a revenge? If you killed him before he rose to power, you would be basically killing him before he did anything evil. In fact, with your presence invoking the butterfly effect, it is possible that he never would make it in that univers. If you killed him while he was in power, your job would be that much more difficult, besides, it is unlikely that the regime he set-up would have stopped after him gone. 2. To prevent Second World War ever occurring? There were number of reasons for Second World War, the general feeling of Germans of being fooled in the WWI, lack of democratic history in German, weakness from other European leaders e.g. Chamberlain. You also have to remember that Hitler almost definetely prevented Stalin from conquering Europe. No Sir, if you wish to prevent WWII from ever occurring (on that one certain universe), you're better off kicking Babbages ass to finish his Difference engine. Steam-powered mechanical computers, get your priorities straight man! *sigh*
