Kimmon Tyonayte
This is a small work-example in Java. It contains three similar games, Tetris, Columns and one of my own, dubbed “Kimmon peli”. Since all three are so alike, the program reuses code where applicable. The purpose of this project was to refresh my coding skills and try out my game abstractions-skills. The game as well as the code is in Finnish for vanity reasons. As such you can look at the code but don’t use it for your own purposes, I’ll release the code in a more practical licence in a bit.

The Apprentice
The Apprentice (working title) is a game desing project, aiming to produce a game design document and a game based on that document. It is split in three stages, in increasing order of complexity. These stages are codenamed:”Nokkapokka”, “Kärhämät” and “Vihollisuudet”. For vanity reasons these codenames are in Finnish.
Once the final stage is completed I, the author, consider myself to be graduated as a game designer and I expect people in the industry to share this sentiment. The former, however, is not a prerequisite for the former. This graduation does not mean full expertise on the subject, rather it is thought to represent a lowest level of competence to allow work with the title ‘Game Designer’. Endorsement for the intent and produce of this project from people in the trade are highly valued.
All the content in the game, including the code and the design document will be released under a Creative Commons Licence or a similar software licence. Details of which, will be announced later.
